"iAreaOffice
continues to be a critical addition to any channel partner portfolio,"
said Andrew Campbell, Managing Partner at iAreaNet. "Rapid technology
innovation is pushing VARs and channel partners into a world with
never-before-seen frontiers in terms business requirements. Our
virtualized, 'Internet-area network' approach to enabling business
communications and IT is tailored to address shifting business user
consumption habits."
In
2013, the consumerization of the enterprise is poised to become an
unstoppable wave by any estimation, sped along by the pervasiveness of
smartphones and tablets. In fact, Farpoint Group research shows that 88
percent of enterprises already have some form of sanctioned or
unsanctioned bring-your-own device (BYOD) policy. But what isn't being
adopted as quickly is cohesive BYOD management, designed to secure and
manage the wave of iPhones, iPads, Android devices and other gadgets
that employees are using for work.
iAreaOffice
targets IT management and security concerns around BYOD and mobility in
general with new dedicated apps available in the Apple App Store for
iPad and within Google Play for Android.
"Employees
will want to access their iAreaOffice-based corporate resources with
their smart personal devices whether it's technically 'allowed' or not,"
explained Campbell. "That's the nature of a mobile, often virtual
workforce. Our dedicated apps are specifically designed to address the
critical need for endpoint security as IT consumerization continues
apace, while delivering an intuitive interface for increased
productivity on the go within the mobile office."
iAreaNet
also has added social media management to its Intranet offering,
including the inclusion of a Facebook-style "Wall" section. "This
dovetails with our already popular employee center, so that companies
can create the basis for a truly social corporate environment in 2013,
with concerns about privacy and security addressed," added Campbell.
In
another important theme for 2013, iAreaNet has beefed up its already
robust redundancy profile with the addition of a new switch in Atlanta,
and has added the iAreaNet Disaster Prevention offering to its
portfolio, which provides businesses with a live disaster prevention
solution with no rebuilt time. It can be set up and operational in 24 to
48 hours.
In
the wake of Super Storm Sandy, a bright light has been shone on the
need for a solid disaster recovery program. According to the U.S.
Department of Labor, a full 93 percent of businesses that experience a
disaster go out of business within five years, and 80 percent of all
companies that experience a business interruption of greater than five
days without recovery plans do so as well.
"We
want to ensure that our channel partners and customers have peace of
mind when it comes to business continuity in the face of anything from a
cut cable to a natural disaster," said iAreaNet CEO James deCrescenzo.
"That's why superlative redundancy and reliability, and our new
continuity offering, are key themes for iAreaNet this year."
When
it comes to telephony, iAreaNet has completed an extensive upgrade to
its phone system to improve call management, with features such as Ring
All, a more customizable find me/follow me functionality, as well as an
improved user interface.
iAreaOffice
provides businesses, VARs and agents with a solution that leverages the
benefits of the cloud service delivery model to deliver a best-in-class
IT communications portfolio that can be combined with data and mobile
connectivity. The secure "office-in-the-cloud" suite includes the latest
version of Microsoft Office, which includes Word, Excel, Outlook and
PowerPoint, and can integrate other software to be delivered as a
service, such as QuickBooks, Saga, Amicus, Fireworks or Dreamweaver.
iAreaNet's programmers can also develop and deliver CRM and custom
applications, all hosted on iAreaNet's powerful servers.
"Judging

being reflective of the continuous evolution of the IP communications
market. These winners have been chosen based on their innovation and

Andrew
Campbell, Managing Partner at iAreaNet, will be speaking at the
